Megan Gallup has been performing on stage since the age of seven. Over the past 15 years, she has had the honor of playing many wonderful roles, some of which include: Crazy For You (Polly Baker), Oklahoma (Laurey Williams), The Sound of Music (Maria), Camelot (Guinevere), and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Belle).
In 2002, Megan was selected as one of three vocal finalists, from the entire Bay Area, to sing at the
1st Annual Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon College Scholarship Competition.
In 2003, Megan and her friend Andrew Ames, where chosen as the California winners by the national
Warner Brother's Talent Search Promo Competition. As winners, they filmed a commercial that was aired on the WB station.
Megan has been honored to receive the BEST ACTRESS IN A MUSICAL award for various roles, some of which include: The Sound of Music (Maria), Crazy For You (Polly Baker), Once Upon a Mattress (Lady Larkin), and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Belle).
Megan has been trained, vocally, by some of the best in the San Francisco Bay Area, including: Pamela Hicks-Gailey, Richard Nickol and Edward Sayegh. Megan also had the honor of being the youngest student admitted to A.C.T's (San Francisco) Musical Theatre Workshop in 1996.
Megan holds a B.A in Communication Studies from San Jose State University with a minor in Dance.
Megan contributes much of her success in the demanding world of musical theatre to her amazing parents and grandparents for their never-ending love and support.
